About

Artfidem is the result of a family dedicated to art. My father, Álvaro, is a self-taught artist who has been painting for 12 years. My mother, Leonor, a graphic designer, has been studying art history for over 20 years and writes the words on my father's paintings. And I, Marile, their daughter, am responsible for putting everything together and reaching the public.

My father's original plan was never to sell his works, as he paints purely for joy and to express what he feels in his heart. In his words: "My art attempts to express the richness of the inner world, the mystery of humanity, and the way I see the extraordinary world around me."

However, during the pandemic, we, being Peruvians and living in Peru at that time, experienced almost two years of lockdown. My father didn't stop painting and created more than 100 paintings! My mother almost went crazy and suggested we try to sell some paintings since they didn't fit in the house.

And so, little by little, we started creating Artfidem, a family project to evangelize faith through art. In a world with little hope and faith, we wanted to bring joy, color, faith, and hope through our works.

Since my father's paintings are quite large, I wanted to offer the same works in a smaller format so that more people could enjoy them. Thus, the Artbox was born, in collaboration with a German company that specializes in printing! The Artbox is an image of the chosen original work, printed on acrylic, framed in wood, and wrapped in a gift box! They turned out beautiful!

My father has five different collections (Manchas+Letras, El Misterio, Rostros, Skylines, and Contempla), which gives us a wide variety of options and colors to choose from!
